Announcement of Winners of the 2024 Okra Tasting
Everyone who participated in the 2024 Okra Occasion was a winner: the chefs, library staff, volunteers, guests, and hosts – everyone! All told, nearly 70 folks attended the event. It was a happy time.
On behalf of the organizers, the Environmental Committee of New Port Richey, New Port Richey FarmNet, thanks to everyone who participated. Special thanks to the New Port Richey Public Library and the Rotary Club of New Port Richey.
We are pleased to announce the winners of the 2024 Okra Occasion Tasting – determined by a ballot-based vote by all who attended the event and had an opportunity to taste the wonderful dishes. We honor all to shared dishes:

New Port Richey FarmNet is committed to urban agrarianism, including the development of sustainable local food production and distribution systems, support of locally owned and operated businesses, resilient economic structures, community education on the principles and practices of urban agrarianism and cultural resiliency, and the development of authentic communities.
FarmNet operates a local seed bank, a local seedling nursery, Pasco County’s oldest and largest community garden, a CSA and produce distribution system.
